really really great!
I hope you realise there is a sound and feel, that permeates everything you do that is highly original and refreshing and I must agree with Tom, you make me feel lazy for not releasing anything ever

Really enjoying this. Has a fantastic flow to the album.
Great work as always.
If I had to pick I'd say 'The Man at the Edge of the World' is my fave.

Thanks for listening guys!
'The Man at the Edge of the World' is my least favourite lol.

*sigh* I already have your last 2 releases in my next music tipps, and this one will join them for sure!

Jesus, man, slow down! You're making the rest of us look bad! Don't you ever stop to eat and sleep? =]

Don't forget that besides the music, he still finds time to make a water controller, the midi genesis / sms, pokey stuff, marriage, etc etc etc.
Anyway, downloading!

WOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cant wait to give it a listen tonight!
little-scale you're possibly the least asshole person on the forum what with giving away server space etc. (that was you wasn't it?). You're only rival is Transparent Purple Trip who gives away hardware (like, what's that all about?!)
As for the album, I'm listening now, and it's an awesome job! well done! Nanoloop has always bugged me what with it's weird interface, but you've really got me thinking about trying to learn it!
Beautiful Music!
Hang on, I've just read your original post. You wrote it in 2 days?!

You're an asshole because you're keeping your biggest project a secret:
You've cloned yourself, it's the only explanation for your amazing productivity!

Thanks! But please give Jacko the credit - he took this awesome photo of a blue-tongue lizard (I think that's what it was).
In India, I had major issues with the third laser of my water music machine. Hence the name. This look of apathy or ambivalence that the lizard clearly has is the look that I can imagine my third laser giving me, so it was the perfect title.

Yes that is true. Always between the hours of 5.30 to 7.00 am and 8.00 to 9.30 pm.

God damn Seb! You release so much stuff!
Wait....This is the water and laser stuff?
(Those video's were amazing.)
But I personally think you're too smart for your own good, but it's amazing.
I can't thank you enough for releaseing your stuff for free man.
Also for how fast you make incredible albums.
I'll download as soon as I get home.
I'm sure it's another epic album.

A lot more rhythmically oriented than your other releases, at least from my POV. There's some Steve Reiching going on earlier, but sometimes the harmonies clash a bit.
I especially like the last three tracks, I'm a sucker for drums. Burglar Time! and Planet X are my personal favs of the album.
Oh, and cuuuuurse yoouuu for being able to create such a quality release in six hours. I was looking like my avatar when I read that, only green with envy.

No, no. Just some Nanoloop2.3 action, all on it's lonesome self.

really dig it... d/led it via the nanoloop forum. It's so nice to hear such expressive sounds out of the 2.3.. really lovely.
Offline
ah wow didn't know there were many people still on the Nanoloop forums
Thanks for checking it out!

I made a quick video for "Upon Returning to Planet X":

When I started listening, I was thinking about Nanoloop 1.x, not the 2.x version. It caught me by surprise, but it was a beautiful surprise. The FM thing is fantastic (am i confusing it? The 2.x versions for the GBA uses it's fm synthesis or am i totally wrong?)
And India looks cool on the video. We need more videoclips.
Offline
Yes, NL 2x uses FM synthesis.
Glad you liked the Indian urbanscape!

this is jawsome. (enter street sharks' them song)

Okay, I really dig this man. Thanks for sharing! ![]()
When can we expect some of the water + laser stuff?
Offline
Thanks White Circuit.
Sure, I can throw in some water stuff on the next EP I do maybe. If it feels right

I just listened to it... all of it's great.
The noise swooshing (waves on a beach maybe?) at the start of 'Man at the edge of the world' reminds me of 'sea of memories' by rushjet1.
Its some of the best gameboy music I've ever heard (maybe because it uses less gameboy-ey pulse wave sounds).
Well done... and thanks for giving it away for free!

If anyone cares, most of the loops that appear on this record also appear in a live and improv setting on a live release. You can download it here.
"Chris Soole and little-scale: Live at the Wheatsheaf (2009)"
a recording of a live, improvised performance at the wheatsheaf hotel, adelaide. recorded on the 2 march 2009. chris soole on saxophone and ewi, little-scale on game boy advance and nintendo ds.
I hope that if you liked Third Laser, you might also like this recording.

@ little-scale
Do you have a release that contains "perspectives"/"objectives",
or is this a natural progression of those earlier tracks?
Offline
@ omanderso: I have a release called "Five Step Plan" which you can find here: http://little-scale.milkcrate.com.au/
@ Subway Sonicbeat: I'm very happy to hear that you or anyone at all still listens to this release - thanks so much, your comment has made my day ![]()
