Can you please start getting someone else to design covers for your compilations? I always go to download them then if I like it I'll need to stare at that on my ipod/computer.

Some "volume matching" between tracks really needs to be done. sad  I'm NOT trying to poo on your comp.  It just deserves better presentation.

EDIT:  I just finished adjusting my downloaded tracks... I could send you a link if you wanted?

AGAIN EDIT:   I like the cover smile

Sorry heh I don't know alot about mixing sound levels.
In the future I will try hard to make sure that
all the tracks have equal volume.

also to egr I would love a zip so I could reupload it if you have time just send it to my e-mail ^_^

as for the artwork to each their own ^_^
a lot of people actually like my designs (egr as 1  of them) and many times people ask
me to design stuff for them. Album covers concert fliers,web-sites ect.

I kinda wish I had cut out the first minute or so of my track. Still, I think it turned out pretty good for just fucking around with glitchds.

oh yeah haha really all I did
was swap the files in the original zip
and reuploaded the file that way
I wouln't have to change any of the links
because I posted it numerous places prior to
this hehe ^_^.

btw Austin your track is perfect imo
if definitely fits the theme perfectly
in fact I think the whole album
actualy feels very cohesive
I love it when random people record
something under common themes and
it all flows well together.
I have been listneing to this a lot on my ipod haha

I can't stress this enough
but great job everyone, really!!!

i really enjoyed this! overall, the pace was really nice, interesting sounds, and the tracks really complement each other - some are steady and ambient but with enough of a beat and build up to keep the flow going, others more fast-paced and aggressive from the start big_smile

my favourites were:

- Monsters, Without: that bass line is so catchy, and the melody e.g. at 1.16 is magical big_smile love it!

- Austin, Entrenched: such fun sounds!! how did you do that!? really captures the industrial feel, i felt like i was carefully creeping around an ancient factory such a wonderful atmosphere! some of steam-like sounds (e.g. at 2.00) remind me so much of ad lib in some 90s games, like ishar - and i love from 2.50 it sounds like some strange ancient rusted out robot opera, squeaky joints and flickering eye lights big_smile very avant garde!

- Electrodreams, Artax: glitchy and dark! i love how at the start the opening instrument's timing seems a bit out of step, but as other instruments come in it syncs really well, slipping in between other notes - it gives this feeling of being off-balance, rustic and performed (rather than, say clinical); overall it's quite grim, agitated and intense, and a lot of tension builds, dissipates a bit at 2.40, aggressively picks up again at 3.00 and peaks from 3.15 - the vague cries and growls really add to the intensity! !-drama-! big_smile

- SILent REQuiem, A Reason To Hate Yourself: heavy and stormy!! the opening groans and drawn out ambient chords set such an amazingly aching depressed apocalyptic mood! and the instrument that comes in at .20 fits really well, gloomy resonant and melodic; all the harsh wild parts are just wonderful (i.e. from .48) and with the groans sounds brilliant! howling wind-like melody sound at 1.52, again, is really really interesting - beats are cool to, you build up to the abrupt change over well

i also really liked Behind the Syndicate's Fading LEDs (fascinating sounds and rhythms!!), DJ Hollow Life's NanoArmy March (love from 3.10 -- that wo-wur-wurp-wurp is so cool!), and µB's Into the Fog (the opening is dark and ominous, but when the other instruments come in from .20 it changes the mood to being quite strained and reflective -- great flow!)

of course, i really enjoyed all of the pieces, the above i just responded to the most smile

thanks for all the hard work everyone! really nice release smile

Thanks smile I used a program called GlitchDS which uses samples and generates the rhythms based on "seeds" that you place and where you've set the samples to trigger. It's really hard to explain but it's based on Conway's game of life so you can google that.
I was pretty happy with what I managed to get out of it this time especially because I was getting this weird background ambient noise that wasn't even a sample I used and I think it really added to the track.

I really appreciate your review very much and I am very pleased that you touched on the majority of the songs!! I feel very proud with the end results of this compilation I really wish I could submit it to a Industrial music lable to be distributed in stores and on itunes that would be amazing.
I am very happy that you enjoyed my track as well ^_^.
I always try to be dramatic haha gotta keep people on edge tongue
