Shiru : Apricorn, a lot of people really don't like chip sound. For them the sound is horrible. They think that there are good songs sometimes, but they would sound better with normal instruments, arrangements, mastering, etc. Solution is really easy: don't like - don't listen, not complain. People doing things in a certain way because they want so and they like so. Also, CC license here directly allows you to make remixes and cover versions, so if you like certain 1-bit song but don't like the sound, you can fix it by yourself, and some people surely enjoy it.
