  • arfink : Hmm, sounds like my first attempts. ;) Don't get discouraged! Something to consider, is to make sure your samples are sounding good before you make alot of use of them. Also, variation can only help you. The beginning drone is a bit bland. If you want to have a nice long drone which lasts for a long time, you can make it have a more interesting timbre without changing the tone. You can do this with various effects, depending on the tracker. I guess your music has a certain flatness to it, which can be remedied by playing with timbres and more melodies.

  • tm512 : Well I'm a fan of Random's music, so I downloaded some of his .xm files and took a look but I'm still not 100% sure what I want to make. I know it's just a case of keeping at it until it sounds nice. I was aiming for a feeling of despair and I don't think I'll work on this track any further. Thanks for the comment, too. ^^

  • Switch Off, Goodbye. : You kinda started to get something off the ground there for a minute. Don't discourage yourself, try doing an 8bc Media Search for MilkyTracker and listen what kind of sounds other people make for their songs, and keep at it!
