  • swampyboy : just to say thanks again for the feedback on three laws of robotics, ive taken your advice and taken it upon myself to learn to play the keyboard, as i cannot play any instruments. im enjoying it very much and picking it up quickly. also i tried composing with it today, and then transferred the melody to renoise, and im getting some cool results. different approach is nice. will upload some examples on friday. :)

  • µB : Heh, The Riddle must be one of the moste memorable melodies ever. It's what we call 'Ohrwurm' here (a tune that sticks in your head, lit.: Ear-Worm). I've yet to discover the trick to produce such melodies.

  • Ultrasyd : Wonderful composition ! I've got chills. Same effects as when I listen to some 80's songs. Could I make an Atari cover when I've got time ?

  • swampyboy : nah its ok i am in no way discouraged, if anything you have made me want to get better. i have used logic pro 7 and various drum machines / synths in the past and i find it much easier and more intuitive to track, but your right maybe i should take a different technical approach.

  • swampyboy : hey man thanks for the crit. tbh i already spend way more time on my melodies and instruments than my breaks, writing breaks comes naturaly to me, i can actually touch type them in on renoise and its very rare i have to change anything when i listen to it back. maybe its because i have been a beatboxer from a very young age, before i even knew it was called beatboxing. contrarily i spend hours fiddling with vst instruments and melodics. i guess im just way better at beats than writing music and creating instruments. maybe i should become a drummer. lovin these adlib sounds btw.
